Most plug-in night lights give you one brightness and leave it at that — either too dim to find the stairs or bright enough to wake you on the way back to bed. And they stay on all day unless somebody remembers.

The DuskGlow solves both. A built-in light sensor turns it on as the room darkens and off again in the morning, and a slider on the side sets the brightness anywhere you like rather than offering two settings.

The shape throws light both ways — a soft wash up the wall and a pool down onto the floor — which is what makes it useful on stairs and in hallways rather than just a glowing dot by the skirting board.

Why You'll Love It

🌗 Light Sensor
It comes on at dusk and goes off when the room is bright again. Nobody has to remember anything, and it is not quietly burning power all day.

🎚️ Stepless Dimming
A slider on the side sets the brightness anywhere between a faint glow and a proper reading of the floor. Fixed-brightness night lights are always wrong for one room or the other.

↕️ Up and Down Light
It washes the wall above and pools light below, which lights a stairway or a hallway properly instead of marking its own position.

👶 Soft, Not Glaring
The LED is recessed and diffused, so there is no bright point to catch the eye. That matters in a child's room, where the light has to be enough to reassure and not enough to keep anyone awake.

🌈 Warm or Multicolour
The warm version is a straightforward amber glow. The multicolour version adds a changing colour wash on the wall with the warm light still pointing down.

🔌 Nothing to Install
It plugs into a socket and that is the whole job. No screws, no wiring, no battery and nothing to take down when you move.

📦 One, Two or Four
Four is the sensible buy for a house — landing, hallway, bathroom and a child's room covers most of the night-time journeys anybody makes.

💷 Costs Almost Nothing to Run
Under 5 W, and only on while it is dark. Leaving a hall light on instead is a different order of expense entirely.

🚽 For the Middle of the Night
Getting to a bathroom at three in the morning without turning on an overhead light is the whole point. Bright light at that hour is what stops people getting back to sleep.

⚠️ Check the Plug
It is sold with an EU or a US plug — there is no UK version, so a plug adapter is needed for a British socket. Worth knowing before it arrives.

On at Dusk, Off at Dawn

Plug it in low down rather than at worktop height; the light is meant to find the floor.

The sensor needs to see the room, so avoid a socket behind a sofa or a curtain — it will simply think it is always night.
